The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the past year, elect the Committee, and discuss the direction of Rainbow Wellington for the year ahead. All current financial Members are warmly encouraged to attend and participate.

COMMITTEE ELECTION
The Rainbow Wellington Committee is a group of committed volunteers, where each member takes responsibility for a role, such as:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Event coordination
- Community liaison
- Membership management
- Communications coordination
- Policy and governance development
We’d love to get nominations from a diverse range of people from around Poneke’s rainbow communities, who are looking to get involved, give back and exercise their governance and administration skills!
If that’s you, or you know someone who you think would be great, please forward this information on to them.
Nomination to be a Committee Member

There will be 9 spaces open on the Committee at this AGM.

Committee Members are elected for a two-year term.

Roles within the Committee are allocated among its members at the first meeting after the AGM.

To be a member of the Committee you must certify that you are qualified to be an Officer of the society under our Constitution and the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

Nominations must be received by 5.00 PM, Wednesday, 11 June 2025.

ATTENDANCE
To attend, speak and vote at the AGM, you must be a current financial member. If you’re unsure of your membership status, please email bailey@rainbowwellington.org.nz.
We will make a Microsoft Teams Meeting link available for those not able to attend in person. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your participation will be as full as those present in person.
Please note that the meeting may be recorded for record-keeping purposes. This recording will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

A Member may appoint another Member who will be present as their proxy. A signed original written Proxy Form must be sent or handed to the Committee prior to the AGM, an email message is not sufficient.
